KAVYA & Goya explore fragility, movement & community on ‘Glass Trees’ music video
The track brings together avant-pop, electronic & cinematic influences, paired with choreography shaped by its fluidity
New Delhi artists KAVYA and Goya have released their new single, ‘Glass Trees’, a track built around one central question: is fragility a superpower?
It’s their second collaboration, with the song having been part of their live shows for the past year.
The track moves with a dance-rooted pulse, blending KAVYA’s avant-pop, electronic, folklore and cinematic influences with Goya’s experimental, ambient and cinematic production.
KAVYA launched her solo career in 2016 and has toured internationally, including stops at COTA F1, SXSW and a UK tour. Her debut album, ‘Poetess’, is planned for summer 2027.
Goya is the moniker of Abhishek Sekhri, a New Delhi-based producer, composer, mix engineer and founder of Kintsugi Studios. He’s collaborated with Panjabi MC and Gorillaz during the production of ‘The Mountain’, and has previously performed at Magnetic Fields Festival.
Directed by Ksheetij Saini and choreographed by Bineet Kaur, the music video features KAVYA and six dancers on screen, their bodies “in motion, echoing glass branches, bending but never breaking”.
The choreography centres on community and finding a tribe, with KAVYA styling the dancers’ looks to reflect the fluidity, movement and freedom of the song.
