Jozef K delivers acid-drenched techno & hypnotic house on new EP ‘RX10’

Jozef K returns with ‘RX10’, a three-track expedition through hypnotic, dubbed-out techno and mind-bending acid house, released both on vinyl and digital via RAWAX.

While compact, with only three tracks, the EP stretches across nearly 25 minutes of immersive, psychedelic club sounds, each piece unfurling with a deep, transportive quality.

Opening with a cavernous, reverb-soaked cut, the EP immediately establishes a shadowy, warehouse-ready atmosphere. The nine-minute introduction ebbs and flows with evolving layers, teasing elements in and out of the mix in a way that feels alive—built for smoke-filled rooms and strobe-lit floors.

Closing out the EP, ‘Yonige-Ya’ leans into space-age psychedelia, deploying off-kilter sound design and acid-drenched sequences that teeter on the edge of chaos but remain tightly controlled. Strange yet compelling, it’s a heady listen that lingers long after the final note.

The standout, however, is ‘Whatdup Detroit’. Alarm-like sirens ratchet up the tension from the get-go, underpinned by sparse yet effective vocal chops. It’s the kind of track that grips a dancefloor—one that escalates with a relentless acid build around the two-minute mark, before expanding into a swirl of synths and pounding kicks.

Seemingly designed for full club impact, RX10 feels tailor-made for late-night intensity, and ‘Whatdup Detroit’ in particular is one we can’t wait to hear rattling through a heavyweight sound system.

Jozef K shared exclusively with Mixmag Asia, “It's really nice to do records with RAWAX, they are old school—no gimmicks, no chasing the algorithm, just raw underground house and techno on wax for the heads. It's my honour to release my third record with them, and I look forward to more in the future.”
