Strange Weather pushes on in Hong Kong. This time we are collaborating with ENTROPY 熵 to present a very special booking—In Aeternam Vale.

Essentially the project of a single man, Laurent Prot, In Aeternam Vale was created in Lyon in 1983 under the heavy influence of punk-rock nihilism, Kraftwerk roboticism and cold, aggressive industrialism.

Bridging EBM, proto-techno and synthesised dark pop, Laurent Prot was making fearless music in the 80’s that is being recently reinterpreted as equally or more important than Detroit’s influence on the current electronic music landscape.

Following a prolific run of low-key tapes spanning back to 1984, his work has been getting a second look via Minimal Wave, Jealous God and other modern imprints.

He will be performing live with partner Laina Cheung, a Hong Kong born, Lyon based artist. She released her debut album Switched on Bot last year, in collaboration with In Aeternam Vale.

Rounding off the line-up will be ENTROPY 熵 founder Nanogram and Strange Weather resident Yadin Moha.
