Founded by DJ Gordon, Asylum has become Macau’s most treasured techno foundation that aims to promote art and the sounds of techno in Asia.

Embedded in Macau's underground music scene from the late 90s, he’s also received numerous acclaim as a regular guest at the renowned Tresor Berlin thanks to his sets that build on deep, dark rhythms paired with ferocious psychedelic techno.

For its fifth anniversary, asylum brings its celebrations to Hong Kong along with headliner Elli Arakawa from Japan alongside a slew of regional stalwarts for a night of immersive music experiences.

With a total of 12 on the line-up, the event will curate and divide selectors into two separate rooms for attendees to alternate between as they dive into the many aural facets of techno.

In the Main Room, Ellie Arakawa leads the sonic charge with her dark, textural techno sensibilities. Joining her will be Asylum’s head honcho himself DJ Gordon, Zarah, Steve Pan and Changa.

Room 2 will be a total local takeover by some of Hong Kong’s finest names in the subterranean scene; Finsent C, Dan-Neo, Seiryū, Jayme, Adrianna, Taste of Blue and Anormalturtle300.

Festivities start at 11 pm on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Keeping true to the spirit of the underground, the event will be held at a secret location in Hong Kong which will be revealed to ticket buyers after payment has been made. No RSVP, no entry.
