The nights are raw. Acid-laced. New beat and body music wired through a dubby, psychedelic filter, without polish or safe picking. Longer sets and storytelling are key.

Previous editions at Elsewhere, Bar Temp, and 12x12 in Bangkok have hosted Yuzo Iwata, Chez de Milo, Chuggy, Alicia Carrera, Bagvs, Trent, DJ Sundae, and Capablanca. For Hanoi, the intent stays the same.

DZ GAS: The engine behind Seven Bells nights. Obscure, Avant-garde disco, unconventional house. Recent release Battere Juice E.P. on Italo Deviance Music. Recent editions at Elsewhere in Bangkok have brought Chuggy of Emotional Especial, Elaheh, Seelie of Transport, Jamie Paton, and Krokakai through the booth. Longer set pieces that move slowly and hit heavy. Now the signal reaches Hanoi.

ODOPT: Ivan Maslov in Buenos Aires. Grisha Nelyubin (Gregory) in Paris. Together since 2015. Forged in the smoke of Denis Simachev Bar in Moscow. Rugged hardware house with a wavey bite and a playful instinct. Debut Sociopath EP on John Talabot’s Hivern Discs.

ZWI: Raised in Moscow before rooting in Hanoi. Co-founded METRØ in 2018 - now eight years deep as one of the city’s essential underground nights. Savage resident since Ouissam handed him his first gig at a Snug party. Played The Observatory, Birdcage, Unmute, Enter Shibuya in Tokyo, and the Mỏ Luông Cave at (Re)Treat festival, and many more regionally.

A personal style he calls grimy and sensual in equal measure. Old-school tech house, breakbeat, garage, techno. Avid digger. The sound that sits in between.
