Morabito hosts listening party for Guti's new label ‘El Nuevo Sonido Latino’

Argentinian maestro Guti has always been known to bring a fresh twist to the underground scene. Forget about labels – Guti is all about forging his own path, diving deep into his Latin roots to cook up what he’s named ‘El Nuevo Sonido Latino’, which translates to “the new Latin sound”.

Guti's journey took a wild turn during the pandemic. Locked at home, he ditched the rulebook, jamming on instruments, and rediscovering his Latin groove. Now based in Lausanne, Switzerland, he crafts tunes daily, vibing off whatever mood hits him.

'El Nuevo Sonido Latino' is more than just music; it's a cultural explosion, a love-fuelled project to once again (literally) jazz up the dance music scene with authentic sounds in the form of three original compositions; 'You Only Live Once', 'Vacilon' and 'Your Love Makes Me Very High'.

Continuously keeping us on our toes, the label is also said to host impromptu jam sessions with talented musicians, created live in the moment for a unique listening experience.

Guti, part of Modal Tune with Sarkis Ricci (among many other musical outfits), brings lively jazz and freeform melodies to stages like Caprices Festival. His solo show combines studio recordings with live drum programming and on-the-fly keyboard jams. It's an energetic blend of electronic and organic elements that adapt to the crowd, turning the dance floor into a hot zone.

Having landed in Bali just before the New Year, Guti has produced one track a day since his arrival and seems to have no intention of slowing down.

The picturesque Morabito Art Villa becomes the perfect backdrop for launching ‘El Nuevo Sonido Latino’. The invitation-only event takes place this Wednesday, January 17 and will gather a select number of industry insiders and music enthusiasts to immerse in the exclusive premiere.
