Unknown Festival debuts this weekend, courtesy of Goemon Records & Genom Sequence
The festival, happening on October 18-20, features techno, psychedelic trance & ambient acts across 3 stages
This weekend, Shanghai-based label and booking agency Genom Sequence alongside Goemon Records will debut their festival in Japan, Unknown 2024, set amidst the vibrant autumn forests of Harunoyama no Mura, Hamamatsu, Shizuoka.
Over three days (October 18-20), attendees will experience an intimate outdoor gathering, with three stages that blend electronic music with a deep connection to nature.
At the heart of the festival is the Genom Sequence Stage, a showcase of leading international and domestic techno acts. Known for their innovative curation, the line-up features artists like Angioma, Artefakt (live), Ben, DJ Hi-C, Haruka, and others, creating a sonic journey through the depths of techno.
With visual support from VJ Naoto Tsujita and sound installations by Sound D-Pa Yori, the stage will merge sound and light in an immersive experience. Expect bold, minimalistic techno beats surrounded by intricate visual landscapes, curated by Ryubokuizm.
For fans of psychedelic trance, the Goemon Stage will host a special label release party in collaboration with India’s KarcusMarakus Japan X.
The stage promises dark, driving sounds from artists like Voltonenes, Silent Horror, Yara, Sr Tune and much more. This high-energy stage is designed for deep, hypnotic grooves, perfect for those looking to dive into an intense auditory experience.
