From the very cool owner of Dark Bar and Liberty Area One comes Light Room

The ultra chic and tremendously fashionable Nod Nuanwan Tatong of Dark Bar and Liberty Area One online shop launches her latest endeavor this week – Light Room.

For those familiar with Dark Bar, the unique space is a haven for fans of techno, loud music and cool people. Light Room will be its exact opposite.

“Light room will be like the angel part of me, the yin to the yang,” she elucidates. “Because after hardcore partying, I need time to chill and have a healthy side. So I decided to create Light Room to make a balance from Dark Bar.”

The vibe will be a little bit more chill, she says, a place where people can sit, chit chat and eat some food accompanied by psychedelic, trippy, and floaty music. “Kind of like a panorama bar vibe,” she says referencing the famous second floor bar inside the iconic club Berghain in Berlin.

The deco will also be the complete opposite from Dark Bar in that it will be all white with some different textures.

“I wanted the create a new mood and show you another part of me.”

Aside from the obvious music and drinks, Light Room also plans to add healthy bites to the menu in the future.

Basically, she says that Light Room aims to fulfill what’s been missing from Dark Bar, which is food and music at a volume that people can hear each other talk. More room for smokers too, she adds.

She thinks both places will support each other, especially since they are located in the same building. Light Room will also be located on the second floor of the Ekkamai Shopping Mall, just a few doors down from Dark Bar in the old Liberty Area One store. It will be open Tuesday to Sunday from around 6pm to 2am.

The bar opens Saturday October 31st, 2015.
