fabric has banned all photography & video on its dancefloors

fabric will be banning all photography and video's in the nightclub upon its expected reopening on July 23.

The famed London nightclub revealed the plans on their social media yesterday, promising a completely new atmosphere in the club and urging their fans to "stay in the moment."

"fabric is London's home for underground music, always aiming to create a feeling of self-expression on the dancefloor," the club said in a statement.

"We are introducing a strict no photo and no video policy at the club. Stay in the moment and put away your phone, enjoy the night..."

fabric had previously announced a 42-hour opening weekend that was set to take place starting on June 25, in line with the Government's original June 21 roadmap end to social distancing in England.

Fabric co-founder Cameron Leslie said: “fabric has always had a no camera policy but as camera phones proliferated that became harder to enforce and we got a bit lax about it."

"Going forward we want to re-emphasize the policy so that we encourage people to stay in the moment, protect the dancefloor experience, and avoid social media stress or anxiety."

"Its about respecting the event, the artists and fellow dancers.”

The reopening weekend will now take place across July 23-25.
