Escape 56 celebrates 7th anniversary with Rey Colino & Massimiliano Pagliara
The international acts will each headline one night of The Midnight Gospel, taking place on April 12-13
Three of Singapore’s cult-favourite party purveyors – Blackout Agency, Sivilian Affairs, and Fomohomo – are prepping for a two-night event named The Midnight Gospel’ which marks Escape 56’s seventh anniversary.
Taking place on April 12-13, this exclusive pop-up club promises a convergence of subculture music and immersive art experiences, set in a hidden industrial sanctuary in central Singapore.
On the first night Blackout Agency and Sivilian Affairs will showcase the sonic alchemy of Rey Colino. The Belgian DJ seamlessly balances his role as the proprietor of Amsterdam-based vinyl distributor One Eye Witness and the visionary behind Kalahari Oyster Cult, a label cherished for its nostalgic '90s-inspired house and techno releases.
His sonic signature is a fusion of ambient techno, sun-bleached house, and bassy rhythms, weaving rich sonic narratives that captivate both veteran enthusiasts and discerning newcomers. He’s also known as being a fixture at revered dance institutions and festivals such as Dekmantel, Horst, and Love International.
Accompanying him on Day 1 are Robo X, Mako, and Brian.

The festivities continue on April 13, with Blackout Agency and Fomohomo presenting Berghain/Panorama Bar resident, Massimiliano Pagliara. Hailing from Tricase in Italy's deep south, he cultivated a diverse musical palette from an early age, encompassing rap, classical, reggae, dub, and 60s rock'n'roll. Upon moving to Milan in 1997, he immersed himself in the city's alternative club scene, drawn to experimental electronic sounds epitomised by artists like Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada.
