Dua Lipa’s second PUMA 'Flutur' collab is inspired by the 90s rave scene
The party-ready collection features a butterfly motif nostalgic of vintage rave flyers
Model and pop singer Dua Lipa has released a second “Flutur” collection in collaboration with Puma. This unisex collection draws inspiration from the 90s rave scene, retro design and Puma’s history.
The latest line-up of garments includes an electrifying injection of pink, purple and orange hues, plus holographic touches that penetrate the collection and give it that nostalgic retro aesthetic. A central theme of the collection is a butterfly insignia reminiscent of the ones the singer saw on vintage rave flyers.
“The butterfly represents transition, metamorphosis, and new beginnings. I felt like in the beginning, when I first started working on drop one, the butterfly already had a lot of meaning for me. Now, going into the second drop, that meaning has just solidified itself and become even more important in my life. It feels like everything progressed and manifested itself in that way,” Dua Lipa mentioned in the behind the scenes video with the brand; check it out below:
The “Flutur” collection presents over 30 pieces including a new CELL Dome King and a flared T7 tracksuit designed by the singer herself. Another highlight of the collaboration are the sneakers that she worked on alongside Billy Walsh; the Mayze, Mayze Boot, and Mayze Metallic.
To celebrate the launch of her latest collection, the pop artist also hosted a dance party at the Bistrotheque restaurant in East London. Sporting a look from the collection itself, the party seemed to be the perfect setting to test out her dance floor-ready attire.
