The announcement follows not long after LCD Soundsystem pulled out of the festival and all Australasian dates as well to record a new album. Disappointed as we may be, at least we get a new album out of it.
Even without the two mega headliners, the line-up still stands solid. Also on the bill are The Chemical Brothers, Sigur Rós, Crystal Castles, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Rødhåd, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Foals, José González, Blood Orange, Yo La Tengo, Hyukoh, Birdy Nam Nam, The Jolly Boys, ….Huh!?, Shura, 65daysofstatic, Fakear, Mad Professor, Jimmy Edgar, Pumarosa, Fantastic Day, Tux, 世界末日SEKAI NO OWARI, BADBADNOTGOOD, tfvsjs, 慘慘豬 CharmCharmChu, 朱凌凌Juicyning, and 陳綺貞Cheer Chen.
The full and final line-up for the festival will be released on October 27th.
The 9th edition of Hong Kong's beloved music and arts festival will take place on Friday November 25th through to Sunday November 27th at the Central Harbourfront, a change from previous years but will still provides revelers with stunning vistas of Hong Kong. Last year over 60,000 festival goers flocked the idyllic location and after today's early announcement, we expect this year to be its biggest yet. It is rumored that early bird ticket sales have already broken records.
Tickets are already on sale with phase two tickets available until November 10th. Visit the Clockenflap website here for tickets and more information.
