Dennis Rodman recalls "wild techno night" before NBA finals

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman recalls a wild night of techno before his all-important 1996 final performance.

He is no stranger to a party explain Basketball Network - Rodman would regularly frequent a night out even before big games.

The basketball player recounts a wild night out in his new book, Walk On The Wild Side, prior to a pivotal NBA Finals Game 6 against the Seattle Supersonics in 1996.

He described that it started off fairly tame, with sushi and some Sake bombs - but it then took a turn as they headed to Chicago's iconic Crobar nightclub.

He then found himself surrounded by "ear-splitting" techno music all night. He writes: "We ended up at Crobar, where they have a bondage rack and men will stand there writhing in pain while voluptuous women pour burning wax onto their nipples, and people in elevated cages dry-hump each other to the beat of ear-splitting techno-house music played by a lesbian deejay named 'Psychobitch'.

"We went to breakfast at Third Coast, a great place in the Gold Coast district, and when I walked out the door it was light out."

For Rodman this was a much needed night out and his team, the Chicago Bulls, won against the Seattle Supersonics.

Rodman finished the game with 9 points and 19 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals - even after his big night out at Crobar.

As written in Basketball Network: "Rodman had unbelievable energy, and going out, having a wild night out helped him release pressure and, in some weird way, prepare him for the most crucial game of the season in which he showcased why he was one of the best to ever do it on the defensive end of the floor."
