Deezer x Spinnin Records brings dance music to life with 360 Reality Audio

Evolving through creative means, Spinnin Records has partnered with Deezer to showcase a catalogue of 52 tracks on the streaming platform's new immersive experience — 360 Reality Audio.

With the attention on streaming music platforms and services growing intensely, majorly due to the global pandemic caused by COVID-19, business entities from all nodes of the music industry are trying to grapple with novel and creative means of connecting and growing their audiences. Deezer recently launched 360 Audio Reality, a new dimension to their platform that uses Sony’s spatial audio technology which is an object-based spatial soundscape using an open format that allows artists and content creators to make use of. In other words, when the recorded sound is encoded, it gets stacked with metadata that communicates the physical placement of the microphone in a 3D sound field. Check out the video below to see Spinnin artists Mike Williams testing it out in London.

With Spinnin Records and Deezer teaming up, this is officially the first ever 360 Reality Audio playlist created, with the global dance imprint curating 52 of its releases for listeners to experience. The Spinnin Records x Deezer playlist is now available in most countries in Asia — all you have to do is sign up for a Deezer HiFi subscription in order to make use of the Deezer 360 app.
