Daytimers announce 2nd compilation to raise funds for India

London-based South Asia collective Daytimers have announced their second compilation that covers everything from glossy r ‘n’ b to bouncy two-step and space-age techno.

‘DT001’ was released in December 2020 as a 30-track project that included a bonus garage remix of UK bhangra hit ‘Kangna’ by Dr Zeus. Purchasers of the compilation contributed to raise money for Restless Beings, an international human rights organisation that supports communities being deprived of public service and attention.

Switching their focus more acutely on India, Daytimers’ second outing, ‘DT002’ is a collaboration with Stamp the Wax, with proceeds going towards Hemkunt Foundation, Goonj and Citta India.

‘DT002’ Arjun Vagale, Kindness, Pooja B, Suchi Ahuja are amongst the stellar line up of shining underground talent from the global South Asian diaspora. Making the cut on the compilation has been made a little more difficult as Daytimers have stripped down the release from 30 to 15 tracks, refining the overall sound and curation which explores a wide gamut of electronic music from ambient and experimental to breaks, acid and other garage.

Daytimers 'DT002' will be released on June 18, via Bandcamp, and can be pre-ordered here. Check out the premiered tracks below.
