CRWN recreates ‘K.K. House’ from Animal Crossing

Filipino producer and beat maker CRWN embarked on a mission to recreate the trending tune ‘K.K. House’ from the popular game Animal Crossing on the Nintendo Switch platform.

Whether the idea stemmed from quarantine boredom or the fact that a new breed of creators are now so immersed across various digital worlds, or a mix of both, this remix represents a dash of fun and pinch of positivity at a much needed time. CRWN teamed up with video director Simon Te to create an in-game music video of themselves as Animal Crossing characters and building their own islands. The remix is a laid back and groovy nu disco take parcelled in a timely summer breeze number, just right for a day under the sun.

According to Purveyr, Simon stated that “ I guess it’s easy to feel ‘stuck’ when the whole world has to remain indoors — but I think there are still ways we can give value and create moments of delight even in the smallest of ways”. CRWN aka King Puentespina is no stranger to the Filipino indie scene, being known for his pop-style take on urban electronica. Check out the laid back and cute video to ‘K.K. House (CRWN Remix)’ below.
