Controversial ex-Colombian President reportedly attempting to make career as a DJ
Iván Duque, who served as President of Colombia from 2018-2022, has been accused of failing to tackle the murders of activists during his tenure

Former President of Colombia Iván Duque is reportedly trying to make a career as a DJ.
Duque, who served as the leader of Colombia from 2018-2022, can be seen trying his hand behind the decks in a number of video clips posted across Twitter and TikTok, wearing a t-shirt that reads "DJ DUQ".

According to La Republica, Duque made his debut as a DJ earlier this year at an event in Cartenega celebrating "young businessmen" — a clip posted on Instagram shows him raising his hands to the crowd at the event in February.
Duque had led Colombia as the leader of the conservative-leaning Democratic Centre Party for four years. During his tenure, the President was criticised by human rights organisations for the excessive use of force by security forces against activists — particularly during the 2021 Colombian General Strike.

While President, Duque was accused of failing to tackle violence against activists from illegal mining and drug trafficking organisations; on a visit to London in 2019, Duque was met with protestors who labelled him a "murderer".
By the end of his presidency in 2022, it is estimated that 945 activists were murdered during his leadership.
