The incident reportedly happened during a surprise John Summit set and "badly injured" a woman
Coachella’s Do LaB Stage was forced to close on Friday night (April 10), with attendees at the festival reporting that a light fell on a woman, “badly” injuring the crowd member.
The incident reportedly happened during a surprise set from John Summit.

One Reddit user commented: "I was there, one [of] the speakers fell on someone during [John Summit's] set. She was badly injured I think".
Another, who posted a photo of the light on the ground, wrote: “Hit a couple people. Stayed on the ground for the rest of John’s set no one came to assist. Wild”.
A video posted on X shows a large light in the crowd and someone attempting to drag it along the ground.

The news follows strong winds causing disruption at the festival, with headliner Anyma cancelling his set on the same night citing safety concerns.
It is unclear if the reported Do Lab incident is weather related.
No official statement has been published by Coachella or Do LaB regarding the stage closure.
