Introducing a new electronic performance project from three veterans of the Chiang Mai music scene. Unsaved State is an all-live, fully improvised collaborative jam: an electronic journey, conjured from the machines right in front of your ears, twisting and turning through the genres of acid house, techno and breakbeat.

Long-time producers and synthesizer wizards Aeonlights, Electro Mass and Red Drum team up, armed with a plethora of keyboards and music tech gadgets to create a free-flow of beats, riffs and acid licks ‘dam sang’, custom-fit to the audience and the vibe of the night. Come witness and take part in this evolving cycle of inspiration and creation.

Providing the melody and harmonics in Unsaved State is Aeonlights, a Finnish songwriter and producer based in Chiang Mai known for his synth-driven and melodic house music that captivates the listeners. Fascinated by the idea of breaking the boundaries of electronic music, Marko has found himself producing under various artist names and genres, collaborating with many names in the industry. Marko’s music has been played and loved worldwide since 2010 and heard on labels including Black Hole Recordings, Universal Music and many others.

Pete Wallis is the founder of Siam Modular, Thailand’s first modular synth company. While studying music technology in the UK in ‘98 he got into building synthesizers, mostly due to the in-affordability of analogue synths on the market. Settling down in Chiang Mai, he reignited his electronics and music pass-times, which quite rapidly grew into a business and live electronic performances under the name Red Drum. His role in Unsaved State is to provide the groove; spinning in breaks and percussion, funky synth riffs and elastic acid bass.

Perhaps more famous in Chiang Mai as the drum'n'bass DJ/producer Neuroscientist, Jimmy (Electro Mass) started off playing live shows around Bristol, UK, live-remixing his productions with elaborate FX chains. His signature groovy, technical sound was soon noticed by promoters in London as he claimed a residency in the Brixton Jamm. Since moving to Chiang Mai he’s been integral to the underground music scene as part of the team behind Jai Thep Festival and Synergy, one of the most highly regarded regular dance events in the area. He’s the master of the arrangement, responsible for the energetic builds and drops and also provides the core beats of the Unsaved State jam.
