Neverland & Armin Only Embrace in Manila were both cancelled today
"It has been a trying year for the industry, especially given the changes in the political climate and the recent tragedy."
Neverland in Manila just announced via Facebook that it was postponing its 2016 event to next year while just earlier this morning it was announced via Facebook that the Armin Only Embrace stop in the same city was also cancelled.
Neverland's two-day festival was scheduled to be held December 9th & 10th at the Mall of Asia concert grounds in Manila and had already confirmed acts like Martin Garrix, DJ Snake, Laidback Luke and Yellow Claw. Full refunds are being offered to ticket holders.
The statement reads: “It has been a trying year for the industry, especially given the changes in the political climate and the recent tragedy. The year has also seen many surprising events occur, against all odds and expectations, at home and overseas. We have been working tirelessly to surmount these obstacles such as insurance and relevant permits, made more difficult given the scale of our endeavor. Coming to the close of the year, the environment grows more unpredictable.”

Neverland is one of Manila's biggest and most established EDM festivals and has previously hosted artists like Zedd, Afrojack, Knife Party, Axwell Λ Ingrosso and Ferry Corsten.
The Armin Only Embrace show that was scheduled for November 25th also at the Mall of Asia and cancelled today was due to "unforeseen circumstances" however Armin Van Buuren will still be making an appearance Valkyrie Night Club on the same day.

We wish both promoters the best in 2016 as well as everyone pushing the electronic dance music industry in the Philippines.
