To fire up the festival season that is upon us, Double Deer Experience is back with their iconic signature event—OPTIMAL!
Bringing the same multi-room festival as a core concept, OPTIMAL once again sets out to champion innovative scenes and exciting ideas in a unique setting on 20th August 2022.
Previously held annually in Jakarta from 2017 through 2019, OPTIMAL is back delivering a fresh and thrilling experience by setting the location for its 2022 edition in the bustling Canggu area in Bali.
In 3 different venues within only a 500m radius—namely Lost City, Mejan, and Garden Canggu—OPTIMAL will spread its unique musical programming tailored to each one of those spaces.
Using Crosswire as a theme, OPTIMAL wants to lay out its platform for many intersecting elements in the local scene—building a bridge between communities in its festival circuit with a series of curated club nights and mini-concerts.
Among global names like Esa (Dekmantel/Aweh); Mr Ho (Klasse Wrecks); and Youandewan (Small Hours/Aus Music), OPTIMAL will also present a handful of special back-to-back sets from Archie & Mr Joyful Noise; Darkbark & Dr Yez; Bagvs & Sattle; Jidho & Julian; along with Bania & Kindergarchy.
In addition to that, some of the most exciting local acts like Batavia Collective, Gold Plate Pipers, Soulfood, Monica Karina, and Namoy Budaya will also show off their performance and enliven the energy. To also fulfill its mission of bringing homegrown collectives together, Poppin Class, Interrupted, and Desøner will also take part in this edition of OPTIMAL.
