Bad Boombox's Hot Meal Records shares second V/A compilation
The record is crammed with trance, jackin' and hard house, electro, bouncy techno and more
Hot Meal Records - the Berlin-based record label founded by Bad Boombox - has shared its second V/A compilation to launch the new year.
Serving as the label's ninth official release, the record collects familiar faces to Hot Meal, regular stalwarts and newcomers. These names include MCR-T, Janis Zielinski, Ollie Lishman, MRD and more.
The record's14 tracks span a variety of peak-time soundscapes, too: think trance, jackin' house, hard house, bouncy techno, ghetto tech and electro.

As the label represents the "fun, groovy, bouncy, part of the techno and trance scene in Europe", releases on Hot Meal often have "no formula", rather "carefully curated ingredients that each result in their own unique recipe for success".
"I’m so stoked to get this second album out to the people who’ve been waiting for not only these tracks I’ve been rinsing, but also an update to the vision for this community we’re trying to build with Hot Meal," Bad Boombox tells Mixmag.
"It’s full of amazing tunes from artists I share a musical philosophy with. We picked the best of the best to make an impact on the dance music scene, with super hot fire literally from the future.”
