Almost half of all music uploaded to Deezer daily is AI-generated
The streaming platform says it detects around two million “fully” AI-made tracks each month
Almost half of all the music uploaded to streaming platform Deezer each day is AI-generated, according to a new report.
In April, Deezer revealed that 75,000 “fully” AI-made tracks are submitted to the platform every day, equating to around 44% of its daily intake and totalling some two million tracks a month.
AI-generated music is detected by Deezer’s tagging tool, which launched in early 2025 as the “only music streaming platform to explicitly tag AI-generated music” in the world.

By January 2026, Deezer said it was receiving 60,000 AI tracks a day – around 39% of its daily intake. In just four months, that figure has now risen by around 15,000 a day.
The streaming platform says that despite high figures, consumption of AI-generated music is “very low”, accounting for just 1-3% of total streams.
Deezer has also demonetised 85% of all AI-generated music that is detected as “fraudulent” on its platform, removing them entirely from the royalty pool.

"AI-generated music is now far from a marginal phenomenon and as daily deliveries keep increasing, we hope the whole music ecosystem will join us in taking action to help safeguard artists’ rights and promote transparency for fans," says Deezer CEO Alexis Lanternier.
"Thanks to our technology and the proactive measures we put in place more than a year ago, we have shown that it’s possible to reduce AI-related fraud and payment dilution in streaming to a minimum."
The streaming service has made its AI-detection tool – which can seek out music made using “prolific” generative models such as Suno and Udio – commercially available for others to purchase.
