The Akai Pro MPC Sample offers portability for sequencing & music production
Built around the legacy of the Akai MPC series, the standalone unit features pad-based control, onboard effects & flexible connectivity
The Akai Professional MPC Sample is a compact, standalone sampler designed to handle recording, sequencing, and sound processing in one place.
It uses a pad-based layout inspired by the Akai MPC60, with 16 RGB pads that respond to pressure, making it easy to play in drums, trigger samples, or build patterns with a hands-on feel.
Sampling is straightforward and flexible. You can record sounds using the built-in microphone, connect external gear through stereo inputs, or capture audio digitally via USB-C.
After recording, samples can be trimmed, sliced, and rearranged using a simple chopping mode. These slices can then be assigned to pads and sequenced into loops or full patterns using the onboard sequencer.
Real-time timestretching and repitching allow you to adjust tempo and pitch without stopping playback, which helps keep ideas flowing.
