Abracadabra Virtual Festival taps 75 artists to help save the planet with music & magic

BLOND:ISH has long been treating her social network as a platform to educate just as much as the entertain in her pursuit to make a positive impact and drive change from the inside out. Now, she’s encouraging others to do the same and widening the audience by throwing a covid-friendly and plastic-free festival that will teleport viewers around the globe to the virtual world via Twitch.

Abracadabra’s Virtual Festival 2.0 takes place this upcoming weekend with a full 24 hours of programming from September 17 - 20 and will attempt to crack the code on how to survive the music industry during COVID 19. It will do this though music, magic, self-love and eco-activism that will be delivered via discussions and workshops with environmental thought-leaders, wellness activities, interactive magic shows, and more.

Of course, there will be plenty of music too with livestreams from DJ Snoopadelic (Snoop Dogg), Diplo, Tycho, BLOND:ISH, Claude Von Stroke, Nicole Moudaber and even Paris Hilton will be joining the #PlasticFreeParty. See the full lineup below.

Abracadabra Virtual Festival will also be raising funds for planet earth, in partnership with Parley for the Oceans, Lonely Whale and BLOND:ISH’s non-profit, Bye Bye Plastic. The festival is free to attend and 100% of the proceeds from voluntary viewer donations will benefit the environmental organizations. The fundraiser will be hosted live from the historic Los Angeles Theatre, drawing awareness around global warming from one of the states hit hardest in recent years, especially important now during a time when wildfires are blazing and record-breaking heat is becoming the annual norm.

Abracadabra is a label founded by BLOND:ISH and and Liana Hillison and has been producing unique single-use plastic free events around the world since 2017. In the COVID era, they adapted by launching AbracadabraTV on Twitch, which now live streams multiple weekly shows featuring music, magic, wellness, and social impact programming for a rapidly growing community of creators and fans looking for new ways to connect during this new era of social distancing.

“As an international touring artist affected by COVID-19, it feels like we’re cracking the code in terms of continuing to build a connection with our community and bring them new transformative experiences from afar. Virtual events have greater reach and even more merit than physical ones in some ways, and will give an edge to the human connection we feel when physical events eventually return.” says BLOND:ISH.
