For a year that was entirely underscored by the wrath of a pandemic and a music industry mired in crisis, it can be hard to extract the good from the bad (and especially the ugly). But in fact, perhaps it didn't go exactly as planned, but Asia enjoyed a couple of moments this year as all eyes were on the Far East. A quick response to the unfurling pandemic gave opportunity to small pockets of music culture and clout to steal a moment. Asia spent much of the year basking in the bright lights of a global spotlight while the usual mainstage suspects frothed at the mouth for a small taste of an indulgence we like to call...freedom. It wasn't easy, but many of us got to enjoy some semblance of dance floor camaraderie this year — and we have pictures to prove it.
