BLOND:ISH – two romantic techno(ish) DJs from Montreal with as much of an affinity for psychedelic electronica as they do eclectic house music. Blondes, maybe (find out below if they’re REALLY blondes) but these girls have got nothing to prove. Their riotous shenanigans may have helped them break out of Montreal but now these two ladies are right at home in London where they were quickly picked up by German label Kompakt and Get Physical with M.A.N.D.Y and Booka Shade. The music they DJ and produce is dark, sensual and smooth but they spice up any party with their spunky and outrageous personalities. 1. We never sit together on airplanes. It’s nice to sometimes take a break.
2. (Viv) I really love duct tape. I like to tape people and all sorts of random objects. It’s a great party prop.
3. (Anstascia) My dad used to be a French spy.
4. We’re obsessed with red wine and cheese.
5. We try our best to balance our crazy weekends by eating healthy, doing yoga and meditating during the week.
6. We’re both not actually blonde. Mostly ish.

8. (Viv) Hungarian was my first language.
9. We both did six years of piano training as kids.
10. (Anstascia) Somehow I have a plan from iPhone o2 that lets me use unlimited amounts of data all around the world unlimited for £80 per month. BOoom!
11. (Viv) I carry the real habanero powder from Mexico with me on tour with me to spice things up a little. The stuff that makes you sneeze when you smell it. Along with xylitol, green powder, maca powder, vitamin b, chia seeds, and chili Himalayan salt.
12. (Anstascia) I can’t bare to hear the sound of when people rub two dry un-moisturized hands together. It makes me all jittery.
13. (Viv) I listen to this mantra known as GOVINDA JAYA JAYA almost every morning. It really gets me extremely super happy, smiley and dancing around my house.
14. We like to chase the sun. No more winters, if we can help it.
