The stunning Jessie Andrews is on her way to Jakarta to play the official Road to Djakarta Warehouse Project party (think heavy house and disco – have a listen below). We caught up with her in the midst of her Australian Stereosonic tour and got her to answer our weekly questions.

The Shangri-La in Sydney. Midweek of the Stereosonic tour.
What’s the most unique hotel you’ve ever stayed in?
Probably here. Everything from the soap to the sauna to the service is supreme.
What was the worst job you had before you were a successful touring artist?
I honestly love working. Any type of job I find fascinating. It’s when you have to do it and don’t enjoy it, that it becomes the worst. Before this I never had a job long enough to hate it.
What’s your favorite band/music right now outside of the dance music industry?
Majid Jordan & Kacy Hill
Do you have any pre-gig rituals or superstitions?
I try to find chocolate or candy before I play so I can have it after the set to reward myself haha
What’s your lamest claim to fame besides DJing?
Dodgeball champ
What’s the strangest cultural thing a promoter has ever taken you to do?
Here is Australia the team at Falcona have taken me everywhere from dinner at Icebergs, jumping on trampolines at Bounce, to the biggest music award show (Arias), and private jets to a different city for 2 shows in a day.
What are your hobbies besides DJing?
Currently: taking photos of babes.
None. I like to seize every opportunity I get.

What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever done while performing?
Definitely would have to be me pulling out somebody else’s USB thinking it was mine.
The strangest thing you’ve ever eaten while on tour?
A Byron bay bug.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen happening from the DJ booth?
Someone at a show got hit over the head with a bottle, he was laying on the floor bleeding, stopped the music and I jumped down and helped carry him off.
