Stones Taro ‘Clutch’ (Christopher Ledger Remix)
NC4K closed the year strong with ‘Clutch’, and for the title track, think ‘Hackney Parrot’ light with killer vocal chops over breaks. Christopher Ledger’s tech house remix maxes out the peak hour energy on the EP thanks to its expansive presence and ecstatic builds.

Lemonfacer ‘Typhoon Tune’
Taipei-based Lemonfacer debuted on Hekdb on December 20 with ‘Cirrostratus’ and we’re really vibing with ‘Typhoon Tune’. It delivers tight breakbeats and nostalgic pads that have us dreaming of Y2K fighting games and simpler times…

Junoy Manalo ‘Minor Sixth’
Bangkok-based More Rice celebrated its seventh anniversary recently by dropping two compilation LPs featuring thirty-one tracks from regional artists. ‘Minor Sixth’ by Juno Manalo is an ode to the Filipino producer’s love for jazz house featuring live guitar and midi instrumentation.

B E N N ‘Tear the Silence’
Another VA, this time from Copenhagen, brings us exciting new music from B E N N this month. Released via Katharsis, ‘Tear the Silence’ has the Taiwanese producer on a dark bass and club tip with triplet kicks propelling things forward.

Andy Chen ‘Next Stop / 下一站’
Out now on his newly-minted label, finé studio, is ‘Next Stop / 下一站’ by Andy Chen. The San Francisco-based producer has woven in a “wide array of Eastern instruments” into the melodic techno track, which also highlights a Chinese vocal sample.
