British duo Idjut Boys (Dan Tyler and Conrad McDonnell) will be gracing the red-tinted space of ZODIAC this Friday for a post-Independence Day celebration in Indonesia’s capital.
Crossing paths in Cambridge in the late 80s then moving to London where they started making music together, the two are known for their addicting fusion of dub, house and techno that’s gained a massive worldwide following.
The Idjut Boys subsequently remixed famous bands such as Lighthouse Family, Brian Ferry and many more. The duo released ‘Noid Long Player’ (a recording of disco edits) in 1998, accompanied by ‘Life: The Shoeing You Deserve’ in 1999.
Establishing U-Star Records in 1993 based on the same name of their celebrated club nights, to this day they continue to churn out majorly admired releases through their own Noid Recordings, Cottage, Discfunction and Droid.
Fresh off their annual Japan tour, they land in Jakarta for a one-night-only gig, accompanied by the euphoric sets of the Pleasure collective; Adi, Bergas and Tara.
