Pioneer’s Rekordbox software is probably one of the most popular revelations for DJs in the last decade. The user-friendly platform has allowed ‘digital’ DJs to analyse, organise and prepare music for their sets like never before. Plus the compatibility with applications like iTunes and Mixed In Key have made it even more attractive.
Version 6.0 was just launched on April 14 with a new main feature that has cloud integration through Dropbox for syncing tracks between devices. It does come with three options for subscription which offer the ability to edit tracks on your iPhone for example, and ensure the metadata of your tracks are safely stored in the cloud.
Pioneer has also introduced a support system for promo platform Inflyte which gives DJs easy access to new music through the Inflyte Promo Locker. Other integration and features include Ableton Link support and relocating missing tracks with an automated function — a real lifesaver for a lot of DJs! The updated software is currently available for both Mac and Windows, with plans starting at 6.99 euros per month (the new pricing starts on July 13, 2020) and you can buy and find out more here.
