While the festival is known for its stacked indie line-ups, many artists on the bill cross genres with the world electronic music and Laneway Festival has become a stalwart for diverse line-ups that stray everywhere but the mainstream. Genres at the festival are known for spanning all kinds of seminal music from shoegazing to psychedelic rock.

The Singaporean event is the first of seven, with further installments of the festival happening all over Australia in the weeks following.
