Simian Mobile Disco drop an Essential Mix just before they head to Asia
A 2-hour taste of what you might hear from the duo at Wonderfruit next month
Simian Mobile Disco have been making headlines again as of late. First they released their fifth album in November called ‘Welcome to Sideways’ and this weekend they returned to BBC Radio 1 for the first time in 7 years with an Essential Mix.
In a move that is perhaps as expected as much as it isn't, the 2-hour mix is heavier on the techno and experimental genres than it is light and housey. It certainly gives you an idea of what to expect from the duos DJ set at Wonderfruit next month.
The mix features everything from Roman Flügel and Matmos to Autechre and Peder Mannerfelt - and of course, Simian Mobile Disco themselves.
