DJ Craze shares his 5 must-see movies & documentaries

Legendary turntablist and advocate of 'real DJing' DJ Craze is about to take take Asia by storm as he prepares to embark on a 10-stop tour of the region. The Miami based selector has been in the circuit for almost two decades and his technical prowess has been what moves and motivates other DJs to practice for years. We also know Craze also loves his cinema and since he's got such fine taste in just about everything, he's sent us over the 5 movies and documentaries that have helped shaped him and could inspire you too.

Craze is probably coming to a city near you, find the full tour schedule below.

You can also peep our Q&A with Craze from last year here.

The Matrix

"No other movie describes the reality of this world better than this movie. I still get chills when I watch it and think the 'red pill, blue pill' analogy representing the choice between the painful truth of reality (red pill) and ignorance (blue pill) is one of the craziest things happening to humanity right now."

Juice

"No other movie made me wanna become a DJ more than this one. It also hit home with the whole either pursuing your passion and dreams or staying and hanging out with the boys doing dumb stuff. It really did inspire me to become a DJ."

Purple Rain

"Saw this when I was a kid and thought it was the coolest movie ever! Prince was such an amazing artist! I also loved Morris Day and The Time... and had the biggest crush on Apollonia."

The Corporation

"This documentary is one of the most important documentaries I've ever watched. Since corporations are considered 'persons' it outlines the characteristics of corporations and shows how truly psychopathic corporations are and how destructive they are to humanity and the planet...really crazy movie!"

Manufacturing Consent, Naom Chomsky & The Media

"This is another great documentary about how the media systematically influences the decisions of the masses through propaganda. Scary movie about we are being influenced in ways we don't really understand."
