Bali has just opened a club in an abandoned airplane

Just in time for high season, Bali has just opened a club that’s in the running for one of Asia’s most unique venues.

Even better news, the genre is techno and the vibes are good.

The club is called The Gate88 and it launched on July 1st with a party series called Hi-Fi in a renovated and revamped DC-10 tail that has been famously jutting out of Seminyak’s skyline for years.

Opening night saw plenty of B2Bs by local loves like Trigan Young and Andy Chunes, Kaiser Waldon and Scotty Cal, Mamsa and Wisdy, Kessler and Ricardo Who? and Giax! The club is expected to host international guests in the future.

Rumors of the club’s reopening overtop of Tony’s Skatepark have been rumored for years so Bali is buzzing with the launch of its new boast-worthy nightlife destination. Keen to check it out? You needn't wait much longer as the next Hi-Fi event is on August 5th and you can watch the space here for updates.

Check out the incredible projection mapping from the launch party taken by Nick Kasli courtesy of Pulse Radio.
